Gratitude
At this current moment, the number of things for which I am thankful seems abundant. However, I hope the amount by which I am thankful will never change. It seems to me that only one thing should suffice for all of my gratitude.

Counting the Cost
Luke 15:25-35
When I am trying to purchase an item that I cannot afford, the cost that lingers in my mind isn't the money I do have which is not enough; the cost that matters is the amount by which I am lacking. However, when it comes to salvation, I often find myself close-fisted, clenching my precious scraps. Perhaps now is the time to shift my gaze to the incalculable cost that has already been paid on my behalf, and count my costs for what they are - rubbish.

In Christ Alone Lyrics
In Christ Alone
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
"Till He returns, or calls me home"
geez.
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
"Till He returns, or calls me home"
geez.

afflictions eclipsed by glory
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me.
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me.

Correcting the Jerky Knee
God's works in my life do not end with my satisfaction. They end when he is glorified. Sometimes they will route through others, multiplying in power, bringing even more glory to him.
This is why my words scream. This is why my eyes water. This is why I sing. It is not about me. Let him hear; let them hear.
This is why my words scream. This is why my eyes water. This is why I sing. It is not about me. Let him hear; let them hear.
Oh, Jesus, I sing for----
All that you've done for me
Every blessing you pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord

Psalm 69: 30-33
I will praise the name of God with song
And magnify Him with thanksgiving
And it will please the Lord better than an ox
Or a young bull with horns and hoofs
The humble have seen it and are glad
You who seek God, let your heart revive
For the Lord hears the needy
And does not despise His who are prisoners
And magnify Him with thanksgiving
And it will please the Lord better than an ox
Or a young bull with horns and hoofs
The humble have seen it and are glad
You who seek God, let your heart revive
For the Lord hears the needy
And does not despise His who are prisoners
